By customizing Shopdraw, it will work as natural guide when drawings are worked out.

To make Shopdraw even more effective, there are several ways to customize it so it fits exactly to your production:

  • Options, which are directly related to your product, can be added in the configuration box or the context menu.
There may be different choices for your product. This choice will have a direct influence for the setup of the product.
When a choice is made, the setup with specific measurements or others will be incorporated in the program and used in the drawing that you are starting on.
  • You might have special panel, device, or fixing system, which shall be placed into the drawings.
Perhaps the configuration of this is too much for fitting into the main configuration box and context menu.
In that case an individual application can be made and be connected to the program as a plug-in.
  • Choices and settings for all drawings are saved in a database. This database can be exported to an Excel file.
Not only an emty Excel file, but also a premade Excel file with your functions. For instance, you can create a material extract. The advantages of just plotting data into an Excel sheet and then doing the further functions and calculations in the Excel is that you actually can build up the Excel sheet yourself. It makes it so much easier for you to maintain.
You probably already use a product-related Excel sheet in your organization. No one knows your products better than you and how to calculate them.

By customizing Shopdraw, it will work as a natural guide when drawings are worked out for your product.
Instead of having technical key persons, for whom it is a long process to learn all details of a product, Shopdraw will distribute knowledge of your product. It will be much easier having new people within your organization, handling your products.
